I'm excited about tomorrow. I'm having company. I LOVE to have company. Of course, the poor things get to try out some of the weird food stuff I fix with herbs. I'm trying to tone down the weird factor so just maybe they might visit again.
I feel a little badly about my herb garden because with all the damage the animals have done to my herbs and flowers it's looking rather pitiful but having any kind of a garden is a little like rolling dice - sometimes they come up and you're a "Winner!" and sometimes you lose bigtime. This year I lost but that doesn't mean I give up!! Next year is just around the corner.

Would you look at this corn!! Wow!! I remember last year about this time I was raving over how nice my corn looked and in a matter of 2 days the racoons had cleaned us out. I'm certainly not counting my chickens before they hatch this year. I don't know if you can see it in the picture but do you notice? We have planted 2 kinds of corn - one short batch and 1 tall. We've never done this before but thought it might be interesting to try. We're not corn aficionados or anything but we know good corn when we taste it and thought it would be interesting to try some variety. I'm not even sure what type of corn it is. I'd have to go downstairs and look on the package but it's doing quite well!!
