The very first time I used violets I sugared fresh-picked ones for the topping on a cake I had prepared for my daughter-in-law's baby shower. They were adorable, so delicate and a perfect centerpiece for my table.
I often use violet blooms and leaves dried in many tea combinations, especially in headache blends. The blooms are also nice frozen in ice cubes for punch in the summertime. You can mix them with assorted rose blossoms or even lilac blooms too. It's an all natural, pure touch of cooling, colorful joy!!
There is nothing like sitting down in the middle of your yard, in the open sunshine, and picking violets - absolutely nothing!
