I'm beginning on a new "sourdough starter" today. I have a bad habit of starting one and then letting it die a slow death of neglect. I'm going to try it again and I'm going to try one that will contain just flour, water and whatever yeast it can develop on its own. I'm really anxious to see how this is going to work. There are a lot of recipes for sourdough starter but I've used one particular recipe simply because I happen to have had all the ingredients on hand. I may have to go to another recipe if this one doesn't work out or taste like I wish but it's a start. If I can keep my head about me I will document my progress.
Lunch was chicken noodle soup and crackers. Hubby enjoyed the soup so we were both happy. I've got sauerkraut and pork in the crockpot, and will have mashed potatoes and green beans as sides for supper.
