I went to the grocery store this morning and finished getting prices on all the appetizers for the wedding reception so I can put that in one of the many drawers I have way back in mind until the appropriate time to pull it out and now I am in the process of doing laundry.
I've just made some chicken soup. Yesterday before I went to work I put in two thighs and 2 legs of chicken into the crockpot just in case anyone needed a sandwich real quick but I really put it in there for chicken soup. I have 2 meals of barbecue in the freezer, 1 lasagna, 3 or 4 quart of canned beef and have only 1 quart of vegetable soup left. It is my intention to have several meals frozen or canned for this summer when after an exhausting day I don't have to worry about cooking. I'm hoping to add chicken soup to my repertoire.
My husband finished tilling the garden out and it looks absolutely perfect!! He's planning on picking up some seed potatoes tomorrow along with some onions. We're going to plant 1/2 row of red potatoes and 2 whole rows of white. We just finished eating all our potatoes from last year and I bought some potatoes from the store. After eating our own homegrown potatoes you can really tell the difference. We're planning on planting 1/3 row each of white, yellow and red onions too.
Man, I am so pumped for gardening. I'm hoping I can get some pictures real soon of my tomato starts and let you see what they look like . . . and maybe some pics of my basil too. I haven't put on any pictures here lately because I'm just dreading having to learn how to do it on this new computer. Oh well, no time like the present I guess - but I'm not promising anything yet!!
