The birthday cake is finished and is tucked away in hiding. Hubby's new K-Cup Coffeepot just arrived. We have a couple of really close friends and every time we go visit them he drinks the caramel coffee she fixes him and simply loves how the K-Cup Coffee tastes. Even though we'll be lucky to use this pot once a day I figure he's 64 years old and has worked most of his life, kept the bills paid and treats me simply wonderfully; so if he wants a K-Cup Coffee Pot - he's getting one!! I am excited for him!
I collected eggs early today and already have 5 chicken eggs. Yesterday the girls were really on top of their game. I received 8 eggs out of 8 chickens. I was pretty proud. The coop is staying a nice even temperature. Last night it got a lot cooler but I still left their little door open so they could come and go at will; but even with the door open, it was warmer in the coop than in the barn and definitely warmer than it was outside this morning. I went out today and turned the straw over but I really didn't need to. I have been giving the chickens, when it's cooler, a couple handfuls of cracked corn at night inside their pen and they keep the straw turned over because they scratch around for the corn. Goodness, they do love that cracked corn.
Well, I've got the deep fryer out, hotdogs are thawed and I'm waiting on hubby to home from work. Then it will be Happy Birthday Hubby!!!
Talk to you tomorrow!
