Well, I'm typing this while I drink my morning coffee. I'm not sure how much time I'm going to have to devote to my blog today. Surprisingly enough, yesterday I was finished in plenty of time to watch some fireworks in the sky while sitting on our deck and my hubby took me on my "gondola" ride as he does each and every year. It's sort of a silly tradition. I have always wanted to ride in a gondola in Venice, Italy, and listen to them sing while they steer their boats. Just a scene I've drummed up in my head. I'm such a romantic. So, each year on the 4th Hubby takes me out in our small fishing boat and takes his paddle and paddles the boat all around the lake. It's quiet, it's romantic, and I dream of Venice - all the while smiling, knowing that my husband does this for me - only for me. Neither one of us really want to travel but, oh well, it's silly, I know, but it's one of the most precious things in the world to me and I dearly love him for it.
So it's off to the salt mines. If I get a chance later today I'll talk to you a little more. Hope you have a great day.

Both the Artichoke Dip and the Spinach Dip are in crockpots in the frig. I'll start them tomorrow morning. All the fruit is cut up and I've made 100 Veggie Shooters. Those babies are excruciatingly time consuming and I'm finding out that I can't cram as much on the plates as I thought. Needless to say, I'm a little worried on how I'm going to get all the shooters into my 2 fridges but I've got a couple coolers that I can put ice in to keep them cool until tomorrow. Whew!! There are just so many little things that have to come together.
You all have a nice evening. I've got 100 more veggie shooters to do tonight and I have to pick raspberries and load the van so this will be the last I blog tonight. See Ya!!
