I spent a good deal of the afternoon at a wedding shower for a young lady I've watched grow from a cute little girl into a wonderful young woman. It made me very thoughtful. I was sitting at the table looking around at all the ladies in the room realizing that the last time I had seen some of these young girls were when they were just little children. They were now young women, some with children of their own, doing all the things that I used to do when I was their age. They are at that time in their lives when things feel as though they are endless. There's endless work, endless stress, endless family responsibilities, endless health, endless beauty; and while they don't realize it, they are living as though there is endless time. Time - - - is not endless. Here on this earth we are finite creatures. I wanted to jump up and scream, "Live life to the fullest, live it well and don't ever give up. If you fall down, get up and try again. Do not give up on your dreams but accomplish what is there to do this day in your life and give it all you've got! Rely heavily on God, the only true strength you have in your lives, and He will guide you. Don't doubt - just trust and fulfill your purpose on this earth. Do not be like a leaf blowing in the wind and allow yourself to be blown in a direction with no guidance from the Creator. Be the wind."
