I received a pleasant telephone call today from one of the girls from the herb club. She had brought the Belgian Salad to our last meeting, that I had 3 helpings of, and I immediately pleaded that I just had to have that recipe . . . p-l-e-a-s-e?! Obviously, by the looks and comments I was getting - I was the only person in the room that hadn't eaten it before. Oh well, who cares, I loved it!!! I am making an apple pie today with a crumb topping. It's one of the few pies that I actually like and hubby will be terribly grateful. TeeHee!!

Last year my girlfriend let me come to her house and pick apples from her trees and I took those apples and made apple pie filling and canned it. That's the first time I ever made my own apple pie filling and honestly, it's one of the best things I've ever done. Apple pies are a cinch to make now and having the filing prepared equals endless possibilities!!
Well, hubby and Sam are at the kitchen door and Sam is so excited he can barely contain himself. He knows if I show up at the door he gets a treat!! Gotta run!
