But first I need to get out to the herb garden and cut back several of my herbs and get them dried. I already have plenty but one never knows, plus I don't like anything to go to waste!! The basil needs cutting as does the lemon balm, lemon verbena, oregano, thyme, marshmallow, stevia, chives and rosemary. Either later this week or perhaps next week I've got to till up a spot in the herb garden and plant garlic. I think I will enlarge my patch. Mercy we do enjoy our garlic!!
Everytime I walk out to the garden I've been bringing in passion flowers and leaves (maypop/passiflora incarnata). It's such a nice herb for de-stressing and to use if you need to relax a little before going to bed. Oh, but gosh I so enjoy my herb garden!!
The chickens gave me just 4 eggs yesterday but I got 8 the day before so they are still laying fairly regular. I can always count on 4 - 6 every day. Today they gave me 5 eggs. I'm still going to keep freezing the eggs but so far the chickens have not slowed down their laying.
I've been back to walking in the evenings again. The work outside is slowing down but I still need the exercise. I sleep so much better if I walk a mile or so before settling down for the evening. I like to walk about 6 or 6:30 p.m. I don't like to walk too much later than 7:30 because I go to bed at 10:00 p.m. and can't seem to unwind in that amount of time. I know that it sounds like it takes me a long time to unwind but that's how I work. I get so wound up tight I can't stop and then find myself lying in bed wide awake. Actually, 6:30 p.m. is perfect! It gives me time to come back in the house and do something else with my excess energy and then slowly calm myself down. Yep, I'm kind of a hyper person.
Talk to you tomorrow.
