I tried a new recipe today - Sourdough Cornbread! I have an old-fashioned cornbread recipe that everyone loves but I had to feed my sourdough and came across this recipe a couple weeks ago. It's delicious, a sweet/sour taste and the texture is a cross between cake and traditional cornbread. Oh my, I really like it. I usually put way too much butter on my cornbread but this is perfectly wonderful with nothing on it. I'm very happy with this recipe!! I've put it on my Recipes page.
My sister's husband has been instructed to eat a Mediterranean diet by his doctor and needless to say, my sis is sort of in a . . . "Oh no-not another diet!" mode. I feel for her. It's hard enough to come up with meals each day from the normal repertoire, especially when you're also working outside of the home or when you have a houseful of kids; but getting your head wrapped around a whole new diet and learning how to make it second-nature-cooking is tough. This diet though has some awfully good food in it and I think she'll get the hang of it in no time.
We made it up to 63 degrees here at our house today and after all the moaning and groaning about rain I thought it was time to take a pic of Spring in the making!
