Wednesday is here again!! Laundry Day!! I moan and groan about laundry day but I like my clean clothes, don't you? I went downstairs to check on all my tinctures, to shake and mix up each one. Also, my orange cleaner is ready to go. All I need to do is strain it and it's ready for use in my cleaning projects. I walked around outside today and thoroughly enjoyed the weather. It was a good 55 degrees here and my gardener's brain kicked in. I went out to kind of take stock of all that I could actually get accomplished before it was truly time to garden. There's really so much to do except that I kind of have to go at it knowing full well that anything which requires moving tractors around or moving wheelbarrows to and from wherever - just isn't going to happen. It's simply too wet right now and there is more rain on the way. I need to get the raised strawberry bed tilled but may have to end up hoeing it by hand instead. I also need to prune and clean our raspberry bushes and grapes. Keeping the Swiss Chard and Kale in my hotbox will get me an early start on those vegetables. They did really well in the hotbed but they cannot be moved until the large garden can be tilled - again, too wet. Last but not least, picking up tree limbs that have fallen due to the winter weather and disposing of them has to be done as well. I can do a little clean-up in the herb garden but it's pretty wet too. My front flower bed needs cleaned up and so does the fan area. The flower bed under the shelter house needs some work and cleaning the shelter house inside and out wouldn't hurt either. I don't think I'm going to lack for anything to do until it dries up enough to till - do you?

AuthorMy name is Nina. Southern Indiana has been my home since 1952. I've been a legal secretary most of my adult life and for my leisure time I enjoy everything connected to the world of herbs and cooking is almost like a "fever". I am also quite opinionated but try not to push my opinions on others. My family is grown and I'm left with a wonderful hubby sharing life with me. I'd guess you'd say my passion is living that life to the fullest. Archives
