Nonetheless, I've still got to get my work accomplished, which mean LAUNDRY!!! Tis laundry day and oh my gosh, we worked in the heat a lot this week so I've got sweaty clothes running out my ears!!
We're having leftovers tonight. I've got a boatload of chicken and dumplings left, some green beans, a little spaghetti (which will be my lunch) and a couple butternut squash that need cooked up so I really do not need to cook another full meal today! By the way, how do you all fix your winter squash? Do you make soup, fry, roast, what?? I could use a couple new recipes. If you'd like to share one with all of us please do so!!!
I actually got my old sewing machine out today. I want to make an apron for my granddaughter for her birthday but I don't know. I am such a pathetic granny!! I made an apron in Home Economics years ago when I was in junior high and managed to swing a C+. Now does that tell you anything? A seamstress I'm not, but I'm going to try. I'm hoping perhaps I can swing a B+ on this one!! My sewing machine is an old one but it still works really well. Thank goodness it's an old one, because if it were complicated like the stupendous machines they have out for sale now I would be totally lost and I would hate to have to resort to hand sewing. TeeHee!!
