I have a baby sister who is 7 years younger and twin brothers who are 2 years younger than me. I am the oldest and my sister was always the little baby who was constantly bugging us and in our way. She was really too little to do the same sort of things we did, so often the poor little thing was left behind while we went off onto our 30-acre field to play for the day.
Play we did indeed!! We spent hours and hours playing in the field and in the woods on our 30-acre farm. A few years ago I met with my brothers at a beautiful woods belonging to a pastor/friend of theirs and we walked and talked and laughed and walked some more. We decided right there and then that we 3 would make this walk when I turned 70!! So I'm going back this year to walk with them. Somebody has to keep them in shape you know. In eight years I'll be hiking up hills and down into valleys dragging my brothers along – at least that's my plan!!
I'm spending the day there and really don't know what time I'll be home. I've decided to drive there, which will be a 3-hour drive, and hike the whole day, and drive back, so I'll either be exhausted when I pull in to my own home or I'll be so tired I'll be begging my brothers for a place to lay my head and will drive back Sunday morning. That's why I'm posting my blog early today.
I'll let you know how the day went on Monday. Have a wonderful week-end.
