This afternoon our granddaughters go home and I'm sure you all will be so glad to no longer hear about our grandchildren!! I know it gets rather tiring but we don't get our girls all that often. I figure you can always stop reading, right?!
We've fed the chickens this morning, after brushing our teeth, combing our hair, washing our faces, making our beds and having breakfast. I'd nearly forgotten what it was like raising little ones . . . and I'm here to tell you girls are not a whole lot different than boys, except I have noticed that my oldest one is changing now and I'm definitely beginning to see the sweet difference between the sexes. Sometimes I feel almost lost. She is amazing and so helpful. She still likes it here at our place and I sometimes wonder how long she'll want to come and see granny and papaw. Oh well, I hold the times precious that I have.
----------------------------
The little ones are back with their parents and we're back to normal here. Although, normal seems so quiet and so boring. I won't be the same for a couple days. The house will seem like a tomb.
We got 2 red raspberries this morning and I let the girls gobble them up. That means within the next couple days we're going to have an onslaught of red raspberries!! No complaints here. By the end of the week we'll be eating squash too. It's so exciting!!
Well, even though it's quiet and boring - it's supremely nice to know I can put up my feet and close my eyes. I love those little girls but I sure am tired.
Talk to you all later.
