It's drizzling and I'm up against a time table. I have this week to get things in order because my guests are coming next Saturday and I'm grilling out for them. I want things as nice as I can possibly get them considering the magnitude of work that exists in any given Spring. I have it down to 3 things I must do today and if I can get them done I can get back in the house and rest my back. So - (1) I went out to the strawberry bed and got it weeded and we will cover it tonight; (2) I weeded and worked on the kitchen garden and it looks pretty good; but I haven't gotten to the chickweed in the Goji Berries yet. It started raining big time and I had to go inside.
-----------------------------
It's still raining and even after fixing lunch and laying down the pain in my lower back is not gone but it seems a little better. At least it's not throbbing. That's a very good sign anyway. I don't think it is going to stop raining enough for me to get out and get the chickweed pulled out of the Goji Berries. That puts me in a complaining mood, but I have a feeling I'm probably better off staying in a warm house and not bending over weeding!!! The problem is when I get my sights set on doing something it's really hard to change gears!! Needless to say, I hate sitting around doing nothing but sometimes the old body has its own agenda. Today it's saying "rest!"
Hubby is wanting to watch a new DVD that our youngest son and his wife sent him about Sherlock Holmes and I think we're just going to settle in for the evening and watch TV. Hopefully, I'll be up and running full throttle tomorrow and Monday I'll be back to my old self. So I'm going out to the kitchen now and make myself a cup of hot tea and sit in my big comfy, chair and spend a quiet evening at home.
Have a wonderful Sunday and I'll be back on Monday.
