Anyway, next up corn, beans, butterbeans, squash and cucumbers!! Gardening - you either love it or hate it!!
Hubby also put in my little water fountain in the front of the house and of course, we both oohed and aahed like we do each year we put it up. The sound of gurgling water is such a pleasant sound.
We had chicken sandwiches for lunch out on the deck and are going out for Chinese food this evening. I can't wait. I've been having a hankering for Chinese now for a month.
By the way, I went out to feed my chickens this morning and Queenie was no where to be found. I felt the pit of my stomach start to heave and decided to quell the panic and see if maybe she was inside. I went into the barn and no Queenie - but out of the corner of my eye I noticed some movement in the nesting box behind "Curtain Number 1". She was in there laying another egg. Here all along I thought it was Diana who was laying the eggs!! Nope, it was Queenie my one surviving Buff Orpington chicken. I just left her alone and about 30 minutes later, there lay another special egg!! TeeHee!! I'm sure collecting eggs will get old after awhile but it sure is exciting for now.
Have a wonderful Sunday - talk to you all Monday.
