I've done the norm - fed and watered the chickens, straightened the house, did a couple loads of laundry, made the bed - you know - all the stuff every one of you do, but I've done very little else that's worthy talking about.
I have been out to the herb garden and picked figs so now I have enough to make a small jar of fig jam. The figs just didn't do well this year but they did better than last year - which garnered me "zero"!!! While I was out I made a trip through what was left of our vegetable garden and I do have several eggplant. They are not going to get very big because it's just too late in the year but I'm going to have at least 10-12 more, which makes me very, very happy! I also picked another red pepper and a few cayenne too. I noticed my pimiento pepper plant is producing quite a few little peppers that are slowing turning red. So cool!! There should be enough on the plant to get a couple batches of pimiento cheese, which suits us just fine. Other than a few jalapenos and some kale which has really taken off - the garden is finished. On my way back to the house I picked hubby a yellow rose. He loves roses that are not in full bloom. He simply thinks they are the prettiest and this particular one had the sweetest scent so we put it in water and set it in the middle of the table. By the time I took the picture it had already blossomed out. It is pretty!
