SECOND: The crockpot pizza has GOT to be what my daughter-in-law fixed us. It turned out perfectly and was extremely tasty. I personally think the name and the smell are deceiving. The name of the dish and the overwhelming smell tells your brain to think pizza and whether you want to admit it or not your brain is also telling you you're smelling "pizza dough" as well. There is no pizza dough, no crust, but there are noodles. It's actually more like a lasagna. I find it amazing how the brain works and how suggestion often effects it. Nevertheless, it's a hit at our house and I'm grateful to my daughter-in-law for turning me on to it. It's going to be a real "keeper" and essential for pot-luck, carry-in dishes.
THIRD: My trip this week-end was so much fun. What can I really say! I could use big, intellectual or fanciful words but it was just good old country fun! My 2 brothers, my niece and I walked until we just about couldn't walk anymore without stopping to eat and drink!! Trust me, if you're with us, eating goes hand in hand with breathing!!!
We swung on grapevines, though some of us are finding out our upper body strength is waning!! We walked through creek beds, though some of us managed to get in a little deeper water than others. We climbed hills that felt more like mountains by the time we got to the top; but my niece and brother can attest, quite gloriously, as to what a nice trip sliding down some of those hills was! We saw deer scrapings and, I think you call them licking sticks, don't ask - it's a deer thing!!
By the time I got it home it had begun to yellow and when I sliced it, it was sort of a greenish color inside. I was too late!! Shoot!!!! Check my Pictures Page for more pics. One of these days we'll find another puffball and I'll be able to identify it with more clarity and that baby will go down in "stomach" history!!
Okay, there are all my updates and they took up a lot of space so I won't type anymore but as they say in the movies, "I'll Be Back"!!! See Ya!!
