Physical work is always hardest on me when I start out in the Spring. I've tried to exercise through the Winter and I have worked inside but it's not like the physical labor that this place requires outside. It's essential that I begin the Spring and Summer seasons slowly and also will have to take more breaks than I would like - or I just won't make it. Monday is our start day. I'm excited, but again, it will be a rough week. If I can get through the next 3-4 weeks without pulling a muscle or hurting my back or neck then I should be good to go for the summer. I just have to remember that I'm not 30 anymore - I don't like saying that out loud but it's just a fact!! I can do the work - I just have to pace myself. This is sort of like a warm-up routine!!
My husband spent the morning helping a friend out in town. He needed help cutting down some old trees on his property. While he was gone I finished getting all the old wallpaper off my staircase wall. It's going to be so pretty after we paint it.
When he got home we spent some time outside together. It was good to be able to breathe fresh air without freezing to death or feeling like you were breathing in knives!! We had spaghetti and meat sauce, and garlic bread for supper and we're probably going to just lay around for the rest of the evening.
He's tired and I'm tired and the sun is going down so this is where I sign off. Have a nice Sunday and I'll talk to you again on Monday.
