Then we put fencing around our strawberry bed. I went out to look it over this morning and it looked as though, probably a squirrel, some animal had been in the bed and had bit off the leaves of the strawberries down to the bare ground. Thank goodness they had only gotten to 3 of them but that was enough as far as we were concerned. Whatever was doing the munching is plum out of luck now. We've got it all encased in wire fencing and later after they begin to bloom I'll cover the top with netting. We LOVE our strawberries.
Hubby had to go to town to get horse feed and I had to pick up some yogurt and pick up on a deal the grocer had on pork loin (free slicing). It was $1.88 a pound and it was great pork!! I was very happy with the looks of the meat, as well as the price.
We're not doing a thing right now. It's really very humid here today and right now it's 79 degrees outside. Needless to say we're looking at the possibility of storms again tonight. Then a cold front should go through and we'll be looking at 60 degree weather, which still is not too bad. Hmmmmm, I think I'm going to get out to the herb garden and get some more raking and weeding accomplished. Oh, by the way, radishes are up!!!
