It rained today and everything in our garden has begun to sprout. It's simply amazing! We just planted!! I put an egg casserole in the oven that I had dug out of our freezer. Might as well use it up because with our garden coming on we're going to need the space in the freezer.
After supper I took all of the leftover pumpkins in the basement and I think there were actually only 5, maybe 6 left and worked them up for the freezer. I had enough pumpkins that we felt no need to plant pumpkins this year. I'll miss their beautiful vines but this allowed us to plant a few other items we had been wanting to try.
It's been a great rainy day and tomorrow is Sunday and Mother's Day. For all the Mothers who have enjoyed the honor - whether by a birth child, by adoption, or simply by loving friendship, I wish you heartfelt joy.
