Oh, before I get started on my extensive list, I want to show you the results of a new recipe, at least new to me. I prepared these yesterday. I have a bunch of tiny yellow cherry tomatoes and some beautiful red larger cherry tomatoes. They are coming on by the dozens!! The red ones are big enough and wonderfully juicy enough that they are usable in a lot of my recipes but the yellow are so tiny. I set out to find something I could use them for besides stir-frying, salads and feeding the chickens. I came across a recipe for Pickled Pear Tomatoes with Rosemary and Garlic. I don't happen to have any pear tomatoes but viola!!! I've got plenty of yellow cherry!! What caught my eye, of course, was the rosemary and garlic. You know me and herbs by now!! The recipe turned out remarkably well and they are absolutely beautiful though I haven't opened a jar to try them yet. I think these will be exceptional on meat or antipasto platters or a crudite platter. The color they will bring to the platters should be amazing and I'll let you know about the flavor later but I'm betting you don't see these too very often, let alone taste them!! I'm pumped. I made 7 jars and what lovely gifts they would make as well. To top it off they are a nice healthy item to have on your plate. I'll put the recipe on my Recipes page too.
It's going to be a very busy day!! talk to you tomorrow!
