Our oldest granddaughter is coming for a visit this week-end and I'm trying to get as much done as I possibly can before she comes so I can spend time with her. She's my "Little House on the Prairie" gal so she would appreciate a little garden work - but she is a kid ya know? and I'm her granny, so we can't work the whole time she's here.
She likes to cook and she loves granny's cucumber sandwiches so I've got the ingredients stuffed away, along with plenty of chips for some fresh tomato salsa. Of course, hidden away in the freezer is ice cream and sherbert, just in case we need it. We may even make Cucumber and Cream Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes. Those are rockin' tasty and kind of fun to make too!! Our herb club is having their meeting at an elderberry farm and I'm going to take her to that. I think she'll find that quite interesting.

I went to our local farm market and picked up a watermelon and cantaloupe today and got back home later than intended. I love to look at all the veggies and fruits!
Better get to it!!! Talk to you tomorrow!
