It drizzled here off and on all day long. During a break in the weather, I walked around outside and looked at how everything is changing so rapidly.
The locusts trees are blooming too!! The locusts blooming bring to mind one of the most pleasant memories I have from childhood. When I was a little girl we lived in an L-shaped house and behind the house were these two trees and my Daddy tied off a hammock to those two and when he came home from work he would rest in the old hammock out under the trees. I remember feeling so special being able to crawl up in the hammock with him and look up into the trees and the blue skies. Oh! and when the trees bloomed it was just absolute heaven. There was almost, what you might call, a grove of locust trees out back. Mom had a clothesline strung from one to another as well. Then, of course, there were those times when playing with my brothers - I would have them both get in the hammock and I would swing them just as hard as I could. We all grew up in that little house. My sister was probably about 4 or 5 before we moved to our family farm but that house, those trees, the woods behind it, were the beginning of my profound love of the outdoors. I've told my husband often that I have never found ultimate peace anywhere like that, until we came here to live. It feels like home in my heart.
The Golden Shower roses that we have growing up next to our house are just amazing looking right now and are full of buds. Two flowers have bloomed but anytime now it will be an explosion of color and I will get a picture because they are just unbelievable when they bloom. I only wish I could photograph the smell and send that to you as well.
I'm in the process of fixing some spaghetti for supper tonight. I'm feeling a little better. I've been taking my Cold Care Capsules and they really seem to be helping but maybe being forced to take some downtime is a good thing too. I think it's call rest! TeeHee!! Anyway, I hope your day has been beautiful!!
