I got up, cleaned up and went shopping. I've been working at a clothing store now for nearly a month and decided that I'd scraped the bottom of the barrel when it came to finding decent outfits in my closet that were worth wearing to work. It was time to cough up some cash and buy some clothes. I simply love to buy clothes but I do not like to spend money unwisely so I went through my closet and figured out the mix 'n' match-type clothes that I already had and that I could add to. Consequently, when I came home I had enough clothes to last me the winter. I bought a tan pair of pants and a black pair of pants. They were both an extremely nice fit, which is rare for me since I'm tall, but not tall enough for "tall clothes". I also bought a white turtleneck sweater, a blue three-quarter length sleeve sweater and a red thinner-type turtleneck. The clothes were perfect and allowed my wardrobe, mixing and matching of course, to grow at least 10 times. I'm a happy, happy girl!!
Hubby and I will be talking to a landscaper this afternoon. I told you earlier on my blog that our retainer wall was crumbling and we needed to get another one installed before it completely fell apart and took our air conditioning system with it. We also have a small retaining type area around our driveway which looks pretty tacky and we're going to talk to him about that as well. If the expenditure is not more than we can handle, all of this would actually be a huge upgrade for our property and would make the place look so nice.
Sometime either this month or next we will be getting our home stained. I'm excited about all the upgrading. It's time. Don't you just hate it when your place starts looking like no one lives there or is taking care of it? We were beginning to feel that way just a little. This all will make a big difference - but as all of you are quite aware, I'm sure - it all costs money and you can only do what you can do, right?!!
Tonight we're having steak for supper. Hubby is grilling and I'm fixing Cheesy Squash Casserole and Garlic Bread to go with them. Yum!!
