Anyway, I kept listening for my house wren and nothing . . . I’m worried, really worried . . . I sure do hope nothing got her. The other birds were singing but gosh, when you’ve had her singing all Spring - when she’s not there - the air seems empty.
I finally got up and came in to get ready for work, waved good-by to my hubby and finished my hair and make-up. I grabbed a bag of strawberries and thought I’d drop them off to my friend before I got to work and was out the door.
Since my shoulder has been hurting and I haven't been able to work, I've found I can’t believe what 2 or 3 days of not weeding daily in the herb garden can actually do. My gosh, the weeds are everywhere. I know now I was just barely holding them at bay. I’m thinking Friday will be officially "Weed Day". If I don’t spend the day weeding, it will get away from me and it’s looking so nice. I don’t want to let that happen. I also have to get those nettles cut back as well, the strawberries will need picking again, and the oregano too-and now the lavender. This is the time of the year when a few days makes all the difference in the world. Tomorrow something else will be ready. I love it but you sure don’t get any downtime!! I was out looking at the raspberries and I’m figuring just about the time the strawberries quit on me it will be time for the raspberries. Isn’t life grand!!
