I had to rise and shine and drive to the hospital this morning without coffee to get some bloodwork done; so needless to say, I was in quite the grouchy mood. If I don't get my coffee - stay out of my way. But I made it, I'm home and sipping on my joy juice while I type. While I was sitting comfortably in my chair at the hospital waiting for the very nice lady behind the desk to get me checked in, she pushed a piece of paper in front of me with questions to fill out and sign and told me with exuberance that the hospital was ready for Ebola! Here in Indiana when you talk of Ebola it's like talking about something that's happening somewhere else, but sitting there filling out the questionnaire made me realize just how real it truly was. Then later while gabbing with the "blood-sucking" nurse I was informed that the hospital had had 3 or 4 meetings already with its staff but she hadn't been in on one of them yet and she really wanted to be. This from the nurse who was extracting my body fluid as we spoke!! READY MY FOOT!!! She said they had only 1 doctor and 2 nurses that had gone "over there". Who knew?!! I was surprised at that. So that's my update on Ebola in Southern Indiana.
Tonight I'm going to a concert with my friend. We are going to see Casting Crowns and I just absolutely cannot wait!! We're also going out for dinner and enjoy some big-girl alone time. Her hubby and my hubby are going to go eat barbecue and spend their alone time expounding on the great political issues of the time, I'm sure, but tonight that's fine with me cause I'm going to be in music heaven!
Talk to you all tomorrow.
