Then I had some running to do in town so off I went. I got home about 10:30 a.m. and it was still overcast and fairly cool outside. It rained last night again so we're back to little rivers between the rows of potatoes and squash. I surely hope the vegetables don't end up rotting. I actually need to get in the garden for cabbage as soon as it dries up enough. I planted some early sweet cabbage for cole slaw and the cabbage is going to come in right on time for July 4. I'm still eyeing my tomatoes hopefully but none look like they are getting ready to turn color. We're planning on having cheeseburgers and cole slaw so far. I haven't gotten much further on the menu but I'll get there. I'm thinking I just have to have cucumbers and onions in vinegar. I mean that's a given, right?
I went to the store specifically for some wine vinegar. I am wanting to make some herbal vinegars and actually have enough vinegar; but if I use it, I will be completely out and I do NOT like to be completely out of anything if I don't have to be. I think flavored, herb vinegars give salad dressings that little umph in flavor and I try to always have some on hand. I like to have both white and red vinegars and when I make them I'll be sure to get pics and walk it through with you. It's so very easy.

I picked and then put 4 quarts of red raspberries in the freezer. I have about 8 quarts in the freezer now so the next batch of raspberries will go into the dehydrator for teas. I'm really excited about making teas with dehydrated raspberries!
I went out and cut a couple handfuls of applemint and brought it in the house and made some applemint tea. I've been craving it ever since my granddaughters went home.
It's a beautiful Saturday and I do so hope you enjoy your evening. Hug your family and thank God for your many blessings. See Ya!
