Today I'm working on getting the laundry finished early, try a couple new recipes for grain free breads and just generally straightening and cleaning things up. I put a huge pork roast in the crockpot and we're going to have that, mashed potatoes and gravy and asparagus for supper. Tomorrow I'll make barbecue out of the leftover pork. It's a win-win!!
Today in between all the other little items I was trying to accomplish I was doing a little research on nuts. Yes, you heard me right. Both my sons eat nuts as a snack and I know how boring plain nuts can be but I also know how caloric they can become when you start messing with them. One of my sons can't eat any sugar right now so I got busy looking for easy savory nuts and came across a recipe call Spicy Rosemary Roasted Nuts and they are absolutely delicious. They only take olive oil, rosemary, salt, and cayenne pepper. I'll put the recipe on my Recipes page. They really are just the perfect nibble.
I tried a grain free bread but I'm a little unsure whether I've made it right or not. It didn't rise and it doesn't actually taste like my homemade bread but this is a paleo bread so who knows? Can anyone tell me anything?
