I went to work on my list today and now I'm down to just 5 things left and that's after I expanded my listing to the tune of 20 items!!! Time to get to work on another item that will take several days. Time to work in the herb garden. Can you feel my heart flutter? This is a labor of love my friends, a true labor of love.

I must confess I can't imagine being any more tired than I am tonight. Geez!! I've been at it pretty much all day. All those days when it was raining - those nasty little weeds were just laying there barely below the surface of the ground begging to sprout and make my life a serious disaster and they chose to do it today. I don't think I'll ever finish weeding!! Yikes, I've never seen so many weeds and grasses! I finished the front flower garden this morning and then moved to the herb garden. Behind the herb garden is an oval garden filled with hostas, mums, lupines, irises, balloon flowers and other assorted flowers and I started there. That took about 1-1/2 hours and I then went to the rose bed. The rose bed is on each side of the arch that is the center and entrance to my herb garden and I went to work on it and polished it off in about another hour. Yippee!! I was finally inside my herb garden. Trust me, I'll be in my herb garden for 2 days and it still won't be finished but at least I'm finally there. What a day!!!
Tomorrow I get to spend the entire day in the herb garden and I have to get as much done as possible because we have company coming this week-end. Wednesday I have a dental appointment and have to do grocery and other shopping so most of the day will be lost. Then Thursday I will help mow, clean the house, and do laundry. Friday I will cook and finish anything that didn't get accomplished previously. I've got a plan but the question is do I have the energy?!
By the way, are all your peonies blooming yet? Mine have just started and they are amazing! The scents from peonies just send me and there's nothing more gorgeous than a vase full of them. I love to save the blooms, let them dry, throw in some dried rose petals and other dried flowers, then add some lavender or rose essential oil for an old-fashioned homemade potpourri.
