I transplanted some flowers today. I wanted to get them into my back gardens and out of the front. The biggest problem I've got is that I have so many flowers that spread rapidly and I don't want to throw them all away but I'm just not sure yet where I want to put them. I know as soon as I get them in the ground then look out! Come next Spring I could have a jungle on my hands. I've got an area all tilled up but I've got to decide if this is where I want to put them. Decisions-Decisions!!! I have a lot of seed geraniums and they are beautiful when in bloom. I have purple, violet and white but they spread like crazy. I also have the pink primroses that just go wild, along with purple liatris. I have 3 different irises, 3 pink fairy roses, Asiatic Lilies and several different kinds of mosses. I also have oodles and oodles of wild columbine which is a great attractant for hummingbirds and white yarrow and . . . oh I might as well stop; but these are just a few of what's going to be moved. Mercy!! I've definitely got my job cut out for me! I'm going to HAVE to throw some of it away. I just have to!!
I took a break from the above and am trying to think it over carefully so I'm not doing this again in another couple years because I'm getting too old to keep transplanting over and over again. I decided to clean the chicken run and when I was all finished I put some fresh garden dirt in their run in one corner and you'd thought they were in heaven. I left them dust bathing, cooing and looking like their eyes were rolling back in their heads. They do love their dust baths.
I was talking to my sister yesterday and she was wanting to know what the ingredients were in my Cheeseburger Quiche. She thought she remembered the ingredients, she just wanted to make sure. Meanwhile, the thought that was going through my mind was, "Oh man, I forgot all about that!!" I think that's what I'm fixing for lunch after church tomorrow. It's also great leftover. The only problem is - there's rarely any left over!! Tonight we're having pancakes and bacon. It's what Hubby wanted and he hasn't had pancakes in awhile. Not my favorite but it will do.
See Ya!
