I have a plethora of herbal recipes for medicinal purposes waiting on me to find the time to prepare them. Other than cold medicines - I generally wait until the weather cools and then I spend a great deal of time in my herb kitchen. My main push this year is finding a pain salve and I am wanting to come up with a really great moisturizer for my skin, that suits me, and yes, I'm terribly picky when it comes to my skin. Most of them that I've found so far have been too greasy or have not suited my skin type. I also am just about out of deodorant and need to get more made. Then I'm going to work on tinctures. I want to get an assorted stash of tinctures, sort of like a medicine kit, ya know? As soon as it frosts hard I will dig echinacea roots. I love the taste of echinacea tea although I'm probably the only one who does. Then I want to develop some teas for different conditions such as lung congestion, headaches, etc. I am more than excited about Winter coming until I think about Summer being gone - - - - so I just won't think about it!!!

I have the dill in the dehydrator right now and am getting ready to chop up the dandelion root. I didn't dig a whole lot because I still have some roasted dandelion from this Spring. I also picked a little batch of violet blooms and am drying more plantain leaves. While I was out I noticed that 2 more figs were ripe. Oooooh, I just love figs!!!
