I went out to Wal-Mart on my lunch hour checking for cranberries. I'm trying to find the best but the least expensive fresh cranberries to dehydrate. Dehydrating my own will be a hassle but will be a whole lot cheaper than buying them at the store, plus most of them have been sweetened heavily and I don't think I am going to sweeten mine quite as much. We'll see. I'll try one bag, taste, and go from there.
It's supposed to be really nice out tomorrow so I wanted to get all set up and while I was outside I could be dehydrating inside, but when I dropped by the store there were no cranberries out yet. I couldn't believe it!! Oh well, it was a nice plan but it's just not going to happen tomorrow!
Tonight I brought in my last two hummer feeders, cleaned them up and stored them for the Winter. I don't think there's even a chance of any more hummers flying through at this point. I will, though, replace the hummer feeders with regular seed feeders for the other birds. Right now they are not hurting for seeds, or other foods, but I like to have my feeders out so if bad weather comes through unannounced they already know where to go to get at a food source. Tonight I also have to pull all the vines of the Purple Hyacinth Bean off of the fan at the end of our sidewalk and get it cleaned up. Maybe then I'll put out a Fall Wreath on the fan for Thanksgiving. I saw on another blog a really neat idea. They took a leaf rake and weaved colored fall leaves into the fan part and put a bow around the neck of the fan and hung it up. Looked as cute as it could be!! I might do something like that!!
Yesterday I pulled the leftover Crockpot Pizza out of the freezer along with some Italian Bread and let them thaw in the frig and tonight supper was really good and really easy!! That's the way I like 'em!!!
