Today Hubby and I visited our son, his wife and our two granddaughters. Such a joy. Hubby and my son worked on fixing up his shed, I played with our two granddaughters and spent some time with my daughter-in-law.
My son took me outside and showed me his garden spot. He's gardening in sand and was asking me for some tips. I really could not help him on this one. If any of you out there garden on a lot with sand please let me know if you have any tips. So far he seems to have done well; but he's only familiar with this old clay that his parents have had to garden in most of our lives, so watching the water drain away from his vegetables and knowing there must be nutrients escaping as well is somewhat disturbing. He's managed to grow some awesome tomatoes, his lettuce and spinach patch puts mine to shame and his turnips are gorgeous!! Anyway, if you have any tips on gardening in sand - please, lay them on me and I'll let him know.

We made it home, fed and watered the animals and have decided to call it a night.
I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful Sunday. Talk to you again on Monday.
