We had fun at the zoo and the lights were gorgeous. I think all of us were rather entranced with the tiger. He would pace back and forth in front of the window encasement and you just felt like you could reach out and pat his head. The dolphins were cool to watch but the flamingos had to be the most colorful. We got to ride the carousel too. The oldest rode a hummingbird and the youngest rode a seahorse and we were all perfectly "happy creatures"!!!
We got back home to a wonderful wassail prepared by "Mom" and an awesome supper. My daughter-in-law has become quite the cook! Meanwhile my son got the fire going in the fireplace which was his silly Mother's idea since I just adore sitting in front of a cozy fireplace. We then opened presents and the flurry of activity began!! I had forgotten how wonderful children are at Christmastime. We skyped the girls' Uncle so he could see all the excitement as well. After the gifts were opened, everyone managed to wiggle a snack out of Mom and then we all jumped into our jammies and went fast asleep. It was a wonderful day!!

Saying goodby is never easy. The girls sang Away in the Manger and the oldest one played her piano recital. There were hugs and kisses all round and as we waved good by it could be heard ever-so faintly . . . Happy Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!!
