I was out in the herb garden this morning looking things over and noticed that there were a few cannas popping through so I feel better about those. I was a little worried that they were not going to come up - so now I'm on watch duty for my dahlias. I have what is called "dinnerplate dahlias" and oh my goodness, they get as large as dinner plates, honest!! I love to cut the bloom and just lay it in a large bowl of water. They are indeed a magnificent flower. The dill is up, and the borage has gone wild. I definitely have some salad burnet poking through which I feel very grateful about because we really enjoy it in our salads. Even some zinnias are up. The garden is just absolutely coming alive!!! Oh how I wish you could be here with me and watch it change. I think watching the changes is better than the end product.
I did get some of the chickweed pulled out around the goji berries but my back definitely let me know that I have to take it easy today. I will but I just can't completely stop - I'LL GO CRAZY!!! Well, I'm going back out and see what I can do. Talk to you later.

I've weed eated the garden, mowed some, hand weeded the irises and am just about pooped!!! I finally stopped to fix supper and got sidelined typing my blog. It's been such an exciting day - at least for a country girl. So much to do before the next rain!! After the sun goes down tonight I have one more job out in my lavender bed. It needs some attention and I also need to clean my birdbath. If I can get that done I can say, quite frankly, I've had full day. I hope your day went as well as mine. You all have a wonderful evening.
