I went out yesterday and picked a handful of Applemint and fixed a big jug of Applemint Tea. Nope, nothing special just applemint and water plus I do like my applemint tea with sugar so I added 1/4 cup sugar to 2 quarts tea. Anyway, I'm sitting here typing this blog early due to the blah weather and enjoying my tasty brew. It is just so refreshing and since most of the time I drink water - it's a major treat for me. I usually add a couple sprigs of tarragon to the tea to perfect it. The tarragon plants aren't very large right now and there's not enough but the applemint is just fine on its own!! Applemint is also a very good mint to mix with. By that I mean it blends well with other herbs because it is very mild. Is there a particular mint flavor that you appreciate? There are a lot of them out there, peppermint, spearmint, orange mint, chocolate mint and more, plus lots of flavors in the mint family like lemon balm, bee balm, etc. Find your happy mint and grow it!! Mints have a tendency to grow well and as a matter of fact sometimes grow too well; but anyway, find your special mint, grow it, and . . . have a cup of tea with me!!!
Made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for Hubby. I know that will make his dinner perfect!!
