After I came inside I opened all the windows to let in some fresh air. I turned off the heat and let the entire house air out. We needed some fresh air inside. As soon as it hit 66 degrees inside I closed the windows, turned the furnace back on and warmed it up again but the house at least has some clean air drifting around instead of all that sick, winter stuff we've been breathing in and out of our lungs.
Hubby had to clean out the dog pen so I sat in the shop with Sam and played fetch and scratched around on him. He liked the attention and ended up in my lap snoring away. He is such a baby!! Pets are wonderful aren't they? Sam always wants to be with me, never says a cross word and is a wonderful and loving companion.
Tonight I threw some sliced garlic, red pepper flakes, and chopped onions into a pan with some olive oil, sauteed that together for about 1 minute and then put in a pound of ground beef, some salt and pepper and browned the beef. I added some homemade Italian Seasoning, 1-1/2 Quarts Homemade Tomato Sauce, 1/4 cup homemade tomato paste and 1 Tablespoon dark brown sugar. I then just let that cook down until it morphed into a wonderful spaghetti sauce and then added my cooked spaghetti for a Spaghetti-Family-Style dinner. We had garlic bread and a small side salad and dinner was complete!! It just doesn't get any easier than that!
