Wednesday, ackkkk!!!! Laundry day. Oh well, might as well get on it. While my first load was washing I took the tomatoes my granddaughter and I had dehydrated and first put them through the food processor then put them in the coffee grinder until they were nothing more than a powder. (Yes, I probably need to buy one of those super duper blenders but I'm using what I've got for now.) Then I put the powder in a quart jar, put the directions on how to make tomato paste and sauce on the outside and put it in the freezer. I don't know if you all use a lot of tomato paste or not, but I do not. Yet when I need it - I NEED it!! The problem I notice is that you open one of those little cans and you've got so much leftover that you either put it back in the refrigerator thinking you'll use it, don't and it goes bad; or you have to stop everything right there find something to put it in, label it and get it into the freezer. Making my paste this way by-passes all of that and makes it more efficient for my uses. I just measure out the correct amount, add water, and put the rest away. Simple, huh? I like easy if it's at all possible. I will continue to dehydrate tomatoes when I get smaller batches and intend on filling my quart jar but this is what I have so far!!

One final word - I really didn't have near the jalapenos I needed so I take it all back, I may have to make another batch later this year. MAYBE!!!
