As a side note - when we stop thinking - trust me, someone out there will think for us. Do you want that?
So, like I was saying, I went for a walk and thoroughly enjoyed myself!! I came in and put the water on to heat up and made myself a cup of tea the old fashioned way, sat out on the deck in the sunshine, and drank it. There was no television on, radio or CD's playing, just the birds, the bugs, the fish jumping in the lake, the wind blowing, the horses munching and an occasional car going down the road. Do you actually know how noisy the world is? ------------- It was nice.
I made banana nut bread today. Thought maybe that might be a nice thing to take on our camping trip this week-end. While I was in the kitchen I tried to think of what I wanted to fix for supper but I really was having a hard time coming up with anything. I ended up going to the freezer and pulling out some ground venison. Thought I might make some poor man's vegetable soup for supper. I've got all the mixed vegetables and plenty of tomato sauce so, that's it. That's what I'm fixing. It's just one of those days folks when I've got no major plans. I'm afraid the blog is going to be so BORING!!!!
I would like to talk to you today though about an oil that I simply adore!! It's called Southwestern Oil. I could just sit around, smell this and be happy. This oil goes great used for fajitas, chili or anything you want to give a Southwestern twist. I use it a lot to marinate chicken breasts and LOVE it in pastas. When you start sauteeing up beef, peppers and onion, or mushrooms, peppers and onions, or chicken, peppers and . . . . . .well I think you get this picture. When you start sauteeing up just about anything in this oil, the aroma in your kitchen will send you into overload!! This oil also has just a little bite because it's made with hot red peppers. No, not too much bite but it's "just right". Honestly, this is my most favorite oil in the house. I'll put the recipe on my Recipes Page for you. This one you MUST try!!
