The smell is nice. To be fair I used it on one of the toughest spots in my kitchen because I wanted to see just what it would do as a cleaning agent. I sprayed it full strength on the top of my range hood where grease and grime collects something fierce! I can honestly say, "Not too bad." Hey, you still have to use a little elbow grease. It does just as well as anything else I could buy at the store but I didn't have to wear gloves or worry about breathing it in. I haven't used it in a bucket of water yet but when I clean the chicken coop in March I will then.
I was rather taken with the scent. It's different and quite nice; so after I strained everything, I put half of the peels, vanilla and cinnamon in a pot of water and set it to simmering and the house smells magnificent. I put the other half in the frig for a later time and am thinking I might be able to freeze the leftovers too.
Living out here in the country this cleaner is going to be worth its weight in gold just for the fact that it repels flies and bugs. I think I'm sold.
