Anyway, we are out of milk and I wanted to see what the turkey prices were so I went into town for a while early this morning and did come home with a half gallon of Milk and a 21 pound turkey. That's exciting!! I had planned on filling up some empty milk containers with water and putting them in the freezer to fill it up just in case the electricity were to go down from this cold weather that they keep talking about; but that old turkey filled my freezer right up. So I'm good. Then I just bit the bullet, went inside, grabbed my old tennis shoes and went outside to walk the mile. It wasn't bad at all. In fact it was rather enjoyable! Then I came inside and got my treadmill set up in the basement and now I'm all set.
Hubby is gone today. He went to Indianapolis to our granddaughter's school for Veterans Day. Oh, he's just so proud that she asked him to come. Hubby is one of those quiet sort of guys that truly loves his God, his country and his family and you'd think he doesn't need anybody or anything, he's so self-sufficient; but that isn't true. He's just a tough ole dude that's been through a whole lot and prays that his family never has to endure the terrors and the hardships of war as he has. Don't let him kid you - having his granddaughter invite him to her school on Veterans Day makes him feel extremely honored.
I would very much like to take a couple lines here just to let any veteran who is reading this blog know that I feel honored as well to have such men and women willing to stand, to fight and to sacrifice for my country and for my freedom. Thank you.
