This morning is bright and sun shiny here at the ranch. Sunshine is such a spirit lifter. I just received a package from my youngest with some special teas in the box and a brand new infuser so I am taking it easy this morning and trying my new tea from Teavana. Gosh, they make good teas!
-----------------------------------
First off today I took the leftover chicken and stock and put it in a large pan. I then added another quart of chicken broth, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1 pint canned carrots, parsley, dill, thyme, a couple strong dashes of turmeric, some cooked elbow macaroni shells, a little more water, salt and pepper. I didn't have any celery but the soup was flat-out delicious, even without it. I was considering going downstairs and bringing up a little dried lovage which would lend the celery taste but I liked the soup just as it was. I had a bowl for lunch and put the rest in the refrigerator for tomorrow's lunch when Hubby will be home to share it with me.
I am going to post a picture here of a tea infuser sold by Teavana. It is one cool little device. I'm an old-fashioned girl so I would probably never have bought one of these, but it was given to me as a gift and it really is cool. I've often used T-Socks, T-Balls, T-Spoons, T-Papers, T-Presses and T-Bags. This infuser gave me an excellent cup of tea.
