Hubby was up this morning getting the feeding done early and it looks to be quite an eventful day. It's supposed to be a really nice day too, weatherwise. I'll let you all know how the party went when I get back. Have a good one!!
-------------------------------
It really was a nice family birthday party for my twin brothers. Really!! I think they were actually surprised too. We had pizza and cake and then my nephew brought out an old, old Hotpoint refrigerator that his Dad used when he first left home and lived in an apartment together with his brother. Before I married hubby I would come visit my brothers and stay at their apartment and I remember using that old frig too. Folks, that was one old ugly but useful yellow frig over 40 years ago. Yep, over 40 years!! There's no telling the money, blood, sweat and tears my nephew, along with several other members of the family, gave up to bring that old frig back to life. It was a beauty and I dare say no other working frig like it to my knowledge. What a thoughtful and meaningful gift! The color is now a gorgeous cherry red and will be a proud addition to my brother's home. Memories are so precious! Make as many good ones as you can and they will honor you in the days to come.
After we left there we drove over to check out the work that my niece and her husband were doing on their home. They have literally redone the whole inside of their home and it is going to be GORGEOUS when they are finished. The colors and the ideas that she has come up with for the place are just exquisite and it doesn't hurt that she and I see eye-to-eye on so many color schemes and ideas. I tried really hard not to be envious but I could feel a slight twinge of jealousy at the mention of a pantry. Oh, what I'd give for a pantry! THAT was just too much!! TeeHee!!
Then it was home again, home again, jiggety-jig!!
