Last night for supper I had a rather large chicken breast that I sliced and stir-fried, then I added some onions, corn, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, red and green peppers, and some Ramen Noodles that were stored away in the frig. I simply threw in whatever I had leftover. I added some soy sauce and then made some White Jasmine Rice. (I could eat my weight in Jasmine Rice.) Anyway, I put a big spoonful of the chicken stir-fry on the plate and then put the jasmine rice in a little cup, mashed it down and then turned it upside down on the plate to make a sweet-looking little mound, put a dash of soy sauce on top of each and added a nice sprig of parsley. It looked great and tasted better. This morning Hubby got to eat the leftover rice. He loves it heated up with butter and brown sugar. This is how he used to eat it at home when he was younger. I've never eaten it that way and the idea makes me cringe - but he loves it. So be it. He appreciated the treat.
Then I went out and sprayed the grapes. They don't look the very best but they are producing little grapes and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I fed the chickens and watered all the potted plants. Way back in the corner of my frig in the basement kitchen I found 1 lonely quart of sauerkraut I had put up last year that I didn't know I had. That was my sign. Time for some pork and sauerkraut in the crockpot and so . . . here I sit waiting on the grass to dry. Then it will be time to mow.
The red raspberries are doing really, really well. It looks as though we're going to have a LOT of them this year. Next week I'm going to get out the red raspberries I have in the freezer from last year and I'll be making jam and jelly. I will probably make some honeysuckle jelly while I'm at it too. I am completely out of jams and jellies right now and my refrigerator feels almost naked!!

Mowing is finished and Hubby and I walked on over to the lake and grabbed our fishing poles. We decided that if we caught enough I'd put the kraut in the frig for tomorrow and we'd fry up some fish and fries. I'm here to tell you that white bucket is chock full of "my supper"!!
