We had a wonderful time at Stream Cliff Farm Saturday. By the time we got there the rain had stopped and we four went into Twigs and Sprigs and didn’t come out for what seemed like hours. We had appetizers, their Flavored Oil and Foccacia Bread and Artichoke Dip in a Bread Bowl, and then their wonderful main-dish salads and hubby had the pulled pork, but the absolute best was the dessert - Hot Blackberry Cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream. I still groan thinking about it. We walked the paths, checked out all their buildings and rummaged through what seemed like a million herb plants for sale. At the end of the day we were very happy campers!! We tried to get a pic of their patio, though it's not very clear. It's on my Picture Page.
I had to work today and have been very busy. I got home and I was in a dead-run. I have so much I want to get done and it’s going to take me a little longer since my finger is still bandaged. I MUST work in my herb garden, rain or shine!! It’s starting to get away from me and I cannot let that happen.
I have a lot of little flower plants like larkspur, coxcomb, marigolds, calendula, zinnias and safflower that are in little rows that need to be weeded and hoed. My biggest problem are all the little volunteer herb plants coming up. I need to find a place for them. I also brought back from my brother’s house some volunteer sunflowers. I’m going to plant them in a particular place for my youngest granddaughter. I have a wild strawberry patch for my oldest granddaughter and my youngest will have a sunflower patch. I have to get all that ready because they’re coming this week-end. It’s going to be a wild week - but, needless to say, I LOVE IT!!!
