My oldest son and youngest granddaughter are visiting today. I've made egg salad for lunch and we're having a mini-fish fry for supper. I've got a huge bowl of assorted fruit, some cottage cheese, jello salad, strawberry shortcake, oatmeal cookies, ice cream, chips and salsa, veggies and onion dip and I'm getting ready to make some guacamole too. I'm trying not to overdo it this time. I have a slight tendency to always cook too much. Tomorrow after lunch they will go home so we're grilling hotdogs and polish sausages and I'll fix a big chef salad for lunch before they go. I don't think that sounds to over-the-top. Do you? Of course, I've got cheese, bread and dipping oil on stand-by. That child does love to dip stuff!!
I've also got the anti-bug spray in the frig for my little one. She is so very allergic to bug bites. I got the recipe from wellnessmamma.com. Click on this link and it will take you right to the recipe I used.
The chickens seem to be calmer this morning. The older ones are ignoring the little ones more and they don't seem to be irritating them quite so much. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because so far they have remained unscathed physically.

My granddaughter got here and the first thing she said when she got out the door and after she flew into my arms was, "Can we get eggs?" At 3 years of age she just makes my heart putter!! We collected all 5 eggs, said hello to the new chicks and she introduced herself to Ophelia and promptly named my 2 new Australorps, Hannah and Emily. What can I say - Hannah and Emily they are from this day forth!! Now which one is which I'll still have to figure out! LOL
So much to do with my little one and so little time - talk to you all later. No offense to anyone out there but I've got real important stuff to do here! See Ya.
