Next I went out to the vegetable garden and picked Italian Green Beans to pressure can. While I was out there I cut off two heads of broccoli as well. These two particular heads grew a little differently. They didn't grow into nice, uniform whole heads - they didn't conform - a little like me I'm afraid - but it was definitely great broccoli.
I then sat down and snapped green beans. I was so disappointed. I only had enough to make 5 quarts!! I was sure I had enough for a full canner. There's definitely going to be plenty more green beans but it's just that when you spend that much time bent over and find it harder and harder to straighten up, you want it to be for a full canner!! LOL! They were exceptionally beautiful beans. Not one of them had a bug bite in it. I haven't had beans that looked that good in a long time.
Have a wonderful evening and I'll talk to you tomorrow. I'm heading outside to pick some more yellow squash before it rains!!
