Today I had to get all the garden "trash" (decorations) picked up, cleaned and stashed away for the Winter. You wouldn't think that would be such a big deal but I've got tons of the stuff sitting here, there and yonder. So I got on our trusty lawn tractor and away I went . . . Over Hill Over Dale . . . oh, sorry - I got a little carried away. I got everything except for our benches up to the garage, washed down and safely tucked away.
In the middle of all that I went out to the barn to give hubby some assist on the chicken coop. It's finished and it's just beautiful!! Now all I have to do is get out there and clean it up, wash the window, make a curtain for the window and decide on what kind of window plant box I want and start getting chicken stuff, straw, pine shavings, feeders, waterers, stuff like that. Geez!!!! More to this than you think!
I then came in the house and tried to decide what kind of a salad I was going to fix this evening. We are going over to our friends house and sit around a campfire, grill some burgers and have a salad. Ah! Did I say I was trying to decide what kind of salad? I think I've decided on my This 'n' That Garden Rotini Salad. I've got some leftover tomatoes, onion, green peppers, carrots, cheese and boiled eggs. Surely to goodness I can pull that together into a decent salad. Maybe I'll put some peas in too. Yes! That sounds better. Good ole standby Garden Rotini. I like to, as my sister does, put cucumbers and squash in it when my garden is full of the stuff and then put ranch dressing in it but this will have to do.
The leaves are dropping fast and the trees are becoming more bare each day. Winter is fast encroaching upon our lives so let's remember "Autumn"!
Have a wonderful Sunday and enjoy each and every day!!
