My son, his wife and I were talking about gardening while Hubby and I were visiting a couple days ago and I was telling them I wanted to grow cannellini beans and they asked me about lentils. I've never eaten a lentil before and have no idea how to cook them let alone grow them. If any of you have experience with the (I think they're actually a pea) vegetable please lay it on me. I am going to buy a bag of dried lentils and start experimenting with them so I would appreciate any input given.
Hubby is working today from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. That leaves me here alone the whole day listening to music. Nothing I like to do better than piddle around and listen to Christmas music. He volunteered to work so someone else, that perhaps had little ones, could get home to them early this Christmas Eve. We both remember well the many Christmases and Christmas Eves he had to work. It was years, and I do mean that, before he was actually able to be home for Christmas dinner. There were way too many Christmas Eves where I tucked my two boys in and told them to get right to sleep, that Daddy would be home soon. We did everything we could to make Christmas special for the boys and to be honest I don't think they ever had a bad Christmas or realized they were even missing anything; but oh my, the stories I could tell!!! It was really, really important to us that they realized the true meaning of Christmas but also that their eyes would sparkle with the special joys of childhood as well. I'm happy to wait for Hubby tonight . . . very happy!!
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve. Please - fill it with love and joy.
